Hi, I'm Mallary. I'm a Tampa family photographer, and my studio in New Tampa is one of the closest professional studios to Wesley Chapel. For a lot of families in Seven Oaks, Meadow Pointe and Wiregrass Ranch, that means a quick drive down Bruce B. Downs Boulevard instead of a trek across the bay. You get a calm space, guided posing, and a session that fits between soccer practice and dinner.
Wesley Chapel has grown fast. The Census counted 64,866 people here in 2020, and a lot of those households are young families who moved in for the schools and the new neighborhoods. The open-air shopping districts along SR 56 have architecture, shade and walkable streets, while the preserves to the south and west give you soft, natural backgrounds of pine and cypress. Getting to Your Session From Seven Oaks, Epperson and Beyond
Wesley Chapel is a census-designated place, not an incorporated city, so the neighborhood name is often how families describe home. Seven Oaks, Meadow Pointe, Wiregrass Ranch, Epperson, Watergrass, Lexington Oaks, Saddlebrook and Avalon Park West all have a simple drive in.
If you live east of I-75, Overpass Road and Boyette Road are easy routes toward the parks. West of the interstate, Bruce B. Downs Boulevard runs straight south to New Tampa. Families who live closer to Zephyrhills often take SR 54 or SR 56, and Interstate 275 joins I-75 just south of the area if you are heading in from the west side. A Little Wesley Chapel Backstory
Before the outlets and the master-planned neighborhoods, this area was a small settler community that dates to the mid-1800s. It was first known as Double Branch, for the twin creeks nearby, and later took the name of the local Methodist church. I love sharing that with kids during a session, because it surprises almost everyone.
The modern Wesley Chapel story moves quickly. AdventHealth Wesley Chapel opened in 2012, Tampa Premium Outlets opened in October 2015, and the Crystal Lagoon at Epperson opened in December 2018 as the first man-made crystalline lagoon in the country. The Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus followed in August 2020, which is why tournament weekends shape so many local family calendars.
Golden Hour, Pasco Heat and the Holiday Rush
Pasco summers are hot, and there is less shade in newer neighborhoods than in old Tampa. For outdoor family photos from May through September, I schedule sessions in the last hour before sunset, when the light turns warm and soft and the kids are not melting. Morning sessions work too, especially for families with toddlers who nap after lunch.
If rain rolls in, which it often does on summer afternoons, you can reschedule free or move into the studio. Collections start at $400 for five edited images and one hour, with $650 for ten images and 90 minutes and $1,150 for twenty images and two hours. It's great for kids who need room to run. The 143.65-acre park at 7727 Boyette Road has open fields, a fitness trail and a retention pond. We start with running and chasing shots in the open field, then move to the pond's edge for calmer portraits.
The Crystal Lagoon at Epperson opened December 16, 2018, covers more than 7 acres and holds about 16 million gallons, and it was billed as the first man-made crystalline lagoon in the U.S. Access and photo rules aren't in my sources, so check with the community first; Wesley Chapel District Park is a public fallback.

Sure. The Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus of Pasco County opened in August 2020 as a 98,000-square-foot facility, so it's easy to grab a few frames in team jerseys before or after a game. Then we head to a more scenic spot like Wesley Chapel District Park for the main family portraits.
